Dennis Hopper (Dodge City, 17 maggio 1936 – Venice, 29 maggio 2010) è stato un attore e regista statunitense.
Personalità effervescente e anticonformista, si è fatto notare come “giovane ribelle”, accanto a James Dean, in
Gioventù bruciata (1955). Il suo esordio dietro la macchina da presa,
Easy Rider (1969), è infatti divenuto il film-manifesto dell'epoca, nonché una delle pellicole fondamentali della New Hollywood.
Muore infine a Los Angeles, nel quartiere di Venice, il 29 maggio 2010 a 74 anni a causa di un cancro.
